Vesper

How it works

  1. University tax withholding data is processed, analyzed, and organized.

Schools already create the withholding and bursar records. Vesper takes that data, student by student, and organizes it so a return can be prepared — qualified tuition separated from housing, travel, and other amounts that may be taxable.

  2. Each student is allocated, not averaged.

Each student’s situation is handled on its own. The file is processed independently, according to that student’s circumstances — not as an average of the roster.

  3. The return is prepared by CPAs.

Wolters Kluwer / CCH CPAs prepare, review, and file when a campus does not already have a filing product. If the campus does, Vesper works through that product. The school does not have to throw out something it already trained staff on.

  4. The files stay in a secure compute environment.

Student files are protected while they are being processed, not only when they are stored or sent. NVIDIA Confidential Computing isolates that work in hardware so the data stays encrypted in use. Performance is kept.

  5. The student never pays.

There is no federal-return fee to the student, no per-state fee, and no product code sold down the roster. A conference or a campus commissions the work. The student is the beneficiary.
